Thea-Tex® Healthcare (India) Private Limited is a Leading manufacturer and exporter of medical, hygiene and industrial nonwoven disposable products, with a core focus on surgical masks and particulate respirators, adhering to European (EN), US (ASTM) and Indian (IS) standards. Our products are marketed under the registered Filtra® brand, or under OEM/Private Label agreements with the client.
The unique company name is an amalgamation of the two words, THEAtre and TEXtiles. Incorporated at the Registrar of Companies Mumbai in 2004, Thea-Tex® commenced commercial production in early 2005 and within a short span of time has established itself as one of the leading mask manufacturers and nonwoven convertors in India and South East Asia.
Thea-Tex® is located at the popular industrial hub of Vasai, Maharashtra, which is in close proximity to Mumbai, the commercial capital of India, and is well serviced by ports (sea/air), national highways and reputed logistics providers.
The sophisticated air-conditioned manufacturing facility covering more than 50,000 square feet at the newly constructed, CIDCO approved Anand Mangal Industrial Estate, adheres to the stringent requirements of international standards for quality and hygiene.
The fully automated production lines, comprise the latest high-speed Taiwanese ultrasonic converting machines, with speeds up to 120 pieces per minute. Thea-Tex® houses more than 50 production lines with an installed daily capacity of more than 3 million (3,000,000) pieces.
The workforce exceeding 200 co-workers is professionally managed by a close knit and loyal core management team, which is Directed by a Board comprising senior professionals specialising in engineering, finance, technical textiles and healthcare.
Thea-Tex® is an ISO 13485 (SGS) & ISO 9001 (British Standards Institute) certified company since 2006, and follows the quality management system meticulously. The products with European and US certification are widely exported to ASEAN countries, South America, Europe, South Africa, Australasia and the Middle East. The product range is CE certified as per the MDR (Inpsec UK/SGS) and has appointed a registered European Authorised Representative.
Domestically, as well as promoting its own in-house brand Filtra®, Thea-Tex® supports several hundred private label brands with clients in each state of India, spanning the entire geography of the country, as well as exporting to more than 30 countries worldwide.
Capitalising on the E-Commerce boom in India, Thea-Tex has launched its own E commerce site and additionally tied up with Amazon India to promote its Filtraâ branded range of products on their platform, to tap the D2C market.
More recently, Thea-Tex® received its CDSCO Manufacturing Licence Number: MFG/MD/2023/000211 for Class A & B Medical Devices, adhering to the provisions of the new Indian MDR 2017.
